Riding an eBike is fun and also a great way to travel further distances using less energy. eBikes are an environmentally conscious and practical alternative to fuel burning vehicles. As more people begin to adopt eBikes for short daily commutes, fewer vehicles will be left idling in traffic which could compound even greater positive impacts to air quality.
Class 1 – pedal-assist only with a maximum top speed of 20 mph.
Class 2 – throttle operated eBike with a maximum top speed of 20 mph (may also include pedal-assistance with a maximum top speed of 20 mph).
Class 3 – pedal-assist with a maximum top speed of 28 mph (may also include throttle-assist at a maximum top speed of 20 mph).
The range of all eBike products is greatly influenced by numerous environmental factors such as weather (wind), road surface, and incline. While you may be unable to change the weather or the road you're on, you can influence your power consumption (and by extension, range) by pedaling more, lighter accelerations, and avoiding inclines.
